Loving Spud

I am really loving this stage of our pregnancy. I say ours, cos I am kinda responsible for the little guy's creation. Thats one amazing miracle right there.
Lying in bed and bonding with him is quite incredible. When I put my hand on C's tummy, he starts to move around and kick and generally gets quite active. I just thought that he did this if anyone put their hand on C's tummy, but thats not quite true.
In fact when other ppl put their hand to feel him moving, he lies still and doesn't! Now this could be just that he is sleeping, which they tend to do, but I am almost convinced its cos he recognises me. He can definately hear my voice and seems to get more active when I am around and talking to him, or to Cath.
We lay in bed and read the book I gave him for Xmas... yes, a bit cheesey, but had to be done. I got him a book of nursery rhymes... okay, it was for C and I cos we can't remember many. So, there we were the other morning lying in bed and reading things like "Wee Willy Winky", "Jack and Jill" and of course "Rock a Bye Baby".
I was actually quite shocked when I read some of them, cos they really aren't very nice. Paul Kerton, in his book Fab Dad, reckons that you should just be singing anything to the baby, as long as it's soothing. Well, Rock a Bye Baby is all about the wind blowing the kid out of a damn tree! Thats just horrible!
And then of course there's all the references to gay and being gay and how gay they were... I am no homophobe, and I know its a generation thing, but the word has a very different meaning in the naughties...
Anyway, I am now on a search for a nice soothing nursery rhyme or song that I can sing (scary thought) to Spud in order to help get him to sleep. Any suggestions?
